DINGY WATER TOURS

DIVING WITH DIVE GRENADA

Dive Grenada is proud to be a PADI five star facility. It is a small, friendly dive centre that caters to visitors who are looking to avoid the big boats and crowded diving. They have a limit of 8 divers per trip on their custom built dive boat.

Scuba Diving in Grenada is easy and quite amazing. From their centrally located Dive Centre on Grenada’s Grand Anse Beach.

They are 10 minutes boat ride from the majority of our 30+ superb Grenada dive sites so no long boat trips.

RIVER TUBING

A 45 minute drive out of the town of St. George’s through the scenic hilly interior of the Grand Etang Rainforest Reserve. You can also take the road along the breathtaking Atlantic east coastline, which takes you on to the Balthazar Estate.

First stop, the launch site for the introduction and safety briefing. After the briefing you will be given a your life vest and a modified river tube before getting into the river.

Wet, wild and wonderful from the word go.

with everyone in the water, the guides will go with you on the journey. Spinning and swirling in the currents of the river, as you take in the exotic scenery of tropical vegetation and wildlife, at the same time.

ADVENTURE JEEP TOURS

The tour takes you on a drive through the island’s center, the tropical rainforest and Grand Etang National Park Reserve.

Next is a photo, swimming and a comfort stop at Annadale Waterfall then onto Grand Etang Crater Lake.

As the tour continues, you will experience the amazing rain forest. From here, you will be treated to an authentic Grenadian Culinary experience. This takes places at a secluded restaurant nestled deep in the island’s interior.

Lastly, is a trek to the Sulphur Pond to swim (not an intense hike – 10-minute trek to the pond). Finally, feeling revitalized, you will continue on the tour on a drive down the island’s scenic west coast then back home.

River Antoine Rum Distillery

Make a stop in St. Patrick at this privately owned distillery. Whose processes has changed little since the 1800’s.

It is the oldest functioning water-propelled distillery in Grenada and in the Caribbean.

WATERFALLS

    • Seven Sisters Fall/i>A rain forest trek takes you to the first of the Seven Sisters. A chance to invigorate yourself in the cool fresh mountain pool that flows into the Great River.Explore deeper into the rain forest in search of the other Six Sisters. It is an adventure to behold. Getting there is the joy of it as you traverse beyond the first falls along rugged trails and enchanting surroundings to reach the last sister.
    • Concord Falls

A challenge for the unprepared, but exhilarating for those accustomed to rushing falls from on high. Walk the walk if you wish, or simply admire from a standstill. Be prepared to walk and walk some more to enjoy the wonders of Concord.

  • Annandale FallsA short drive from the resort, Annandale Falls are enclosed in a garden of green and a wall of rocks covered in soft ferns and other vegetation.A dip is most invigorating. Or simply revel in the beauty and sounds of the falls. Spend time in the surrounding gardens where tropical flowers and trees flourish. This is the easiest waterfall to get to and the most “touristy”.
  • Victoria Falls
  • Reaching these towering falls is a challenge well worth the effort for the more adventurous. Located inland south east of Victoria, it is best to have a guide to find these breathtaking falls along the St. Mark’s River.

DUNE BUGGY ADVENTURE TOURS

There are several tours to choose from starting at $130US per person for a 3-hour tour. Drivers much have a valid driver’s license and be 25 years or older. Passengers have to be able to sit with their backs against the seats and feet firmly planted on the floor boards. Therefore, this would not be suitable for young children.

It is a story based on the miracles of nature – the transformation of raw cocoa into chocolate and other products; and of the people who nurture, maintain, harvest and process the cocoa delicately into world class beans. At the end of the tour sample our Grenadian chocolate and cocoa tea.

TURTLE WATCHING AT LEVERA BEACH

You would journey to Levera National Park in the very north of the island to sit in the moonlight watching Leatherback turtles bury their eggs in the sand. In Grenada, turtles start nesting in March and the last turtle hatchings make their way into the sea in late June to early July. Grenada is host to four of the world’s seven varieties of turtles – the largest being the 5ft-7ft Leatherback turtle with its bony shell. Endangered is the small Hawksbill turtle, which as a very beautiful shell. The trip now plays an essential role in Grenada’s effort to conserve the second largest population of nesting leatherbacks in the Caribbean.

This is a late night excursion. You leave Grand Anse at 6PM and typically are not back until midnight. It is quite an extensive drive at 1 hour 45 minutes each way as Levera Beach is right at the north of the island. Typically turtles do not lay their eggs during the day.

Grenadines Adventure

The Scaramouche is one of the traditional wooden schooners used in the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean. You will fly in a small 6 seater plane to Union Island where the captain will meet you. The trip starts in the bay outside Union Island and stops at Mayreau for snorkeling and swimming, the on to the National Marine Park of Tobago Cays to swim with the turtles and other marine life found in abundance, after a hearty lunch on board, a gentle sail takes the group to Palm Island and then back home.
